Composite Modeling Instrument Set. Detailed anterior composite restorations require instruments specifically designed to properly manipulate and contour the material, especially along the cervical margins. The Gold Grip features a convex spatula for spreading composite in the facial plane in diastemas and Class IV and Class V restorations. Its long, flat, thin, and flexible blade facilitates the placement and manipulation of interproximal composite. It aids in gingival line restorations to shape the margin: a deep, flexible spoon is used where more contour is needed. The Green Grip helps shape the gingival line. It allows for shaping lingual concavities and the curvature of the gingiva. The Blue Grip has a sharp end that allows for trimming excess composite and creating grooves in the material to simulate enamel fissures. With the opposite blade, ripples can be created before cutting for better light reflection. Interproximal trimming and shaping of the buccal surface of the tooth - Interproximal trimming or shaping of the buccal surface of the tooth.
